Although the Midlands have come to associate Tropic Aire with the best outdoor patio furniture, it didn't start out that way. Duke and Judy Singleton founded Tropic Aire of Columbia in 1972 with the goal of providing the people of Columbia with quality screen porches, awnings, and sun rooms. But not long after starting their business, the Singletons realized the need for quality outdoor furniture too, and so Tropic Aire Patio Gallery was born. It started out with just a few pieces and from there has grown to more than 5,000 items from over 25 of the world's top manufacturers.
Now 52 years later, Tropic Aire is carried on by their son Roger, his wife Mary Beth and their amazing staff. They are still bringing the world's best patio, porch, pool, and sun room furnishings and accessories to the state of South Carolina and beyond.
